After the struggles on before her win in the Bb. Pilipinas 2010. Finally Maria Venus Raj became the 4th runner-up in the recent Ms.Universe 2010 held in Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas. This year Jimena Navarrete of Miss Mexico crown as new Miss Universe among the 84 contestants participate in this big event for beauty and brains. In the history that Philippines joined in this prestigious beauty pageant Ms. Universe, We can say that Maria Venus Raj is also part of the achievers who gave honor to our country like Gloria Diaz, Margie Moran and Miriam Quiambao. It is not just easy to compete this big pageant (Ms.Universe, Ms.World or Ms. International) whether you are part of top 5 or not. Our representative had a lot of preparation to make it on top 5 in this beauty pageant. For us, Filipinos is a big honor to us even the image of the Philippines is a little bit of controversy like the hostage crisis held in Quirino Grandstand in Manila last August 24, 2010 still on-going investigation with the Hongkong Police.
